It depends on how your organization orders. A simple, always-open apparel store for individual buyers is Essential On-Demand. Need a broader mix of merchandise while keeping individual ordering simple? That's Enhanced On-Demand. If your program involves rosters, names and numbers, multiple logos, fundraising, a closing date, or coordinated distribution, that's a Managed Program. Do we have to choose a platform?
No. You tell us how your organization orders and what you want to sell. Absolute recommends and builds the store model that fits. You don't need to research or select any underlying technology.
Do we have to buy inventory in advance?
Not with Essential On-Demand or Enhanced On-Demand: products are produced as individual orders come in, so there's no advance inventory purchase. Managed Programs can involve batch production when a program requires it (for example, a uniform order with a hard deadline), which we'll walk through with you before anything is committed.
Can employees order individually?
Yes. Essential On-Demand and Enhanced On-Demand are both built around individual, always-open ordering with no group minimum. Managed Programs can support individual ordering too, alongside roster- or team-based ordering when the program calls for it.
Can you handle uniforms, names, and numbers?
Yes, that's exactly what a Managed Program is for: rosters, names and numbers, required uniform packages, and multiple logo options, coordinated as one program rather than one-off orders.
Can stores be used for fundraising?
Yes, fundraising programs are supported under the Managed Program model.
Can a store close on a specific date?
Yes, a defined store closing date is a Managed Program capability, useful for team gear, event merchandise, or any program built around a deadline rather than staying open year-round.
How much does setup cost?
It depends on the model. Essential On-Demand has free setup. Enhanced On-Demand has a $75 setup package (refunded once the store reaches $75 in sales) that includes up to five production-ready designs and up to ten garment styles, with additional designs at $10 each. Managed Program setup and program pricing are customized based on your program's requirements (rosters, names and numbers, required packages, fundraising, deadlines, batch production, distribution) rather than a flat fee: we'll scope and quote it once we know what your program needs.
How quickly can we get started?
Tell us your goal and we'll recommend a model right away. From there, timing depends on how quickly product, artwork, and program details are approved: a standard store moves quickly once those are finalized.
